Bio

Born 1985 in Pasco, WA, one of the 3 cities of Tri-Cities: Kennewick, Pasco, & Richland. Raised up in the outskirts of Tri-Cities with tremendous free time on his hands which would lead to honing skills as a rapper "MC"(Master of Ceremonies) mastering 2 elements of Hip Hop out of 4(B-Boy, M.C.). J-Factor started listening to rap music in first grade during the early 90's when rappers like Dr. Dre and Snoop Doggy Dogg were mainstream. “I listened to a lot of west coast rap when I was younger but as I got older I started to explore the rap game and listened to all kinds including east coast rap. As I studied and analyzed different genres of rap music I started to transform into quality a rapper. In 2000 I began to pursue my dreams and take rap serious. I’ve been writing lyrics since I was 14, near the end of 1999. I took 2006 off after self recording 6 albums, including 2 major side projects.“

Like every musician around the world, J-Factor went through a time of confusion and questioned himself if he should keep heading down the road to stardom or do a u-turn and hang up the microphone. That would all change after a year of being dormant and people thinking that he wasn't successful due to the fact that he was R.U.I. (Rapping Under the Influence) at parties. In 2007, J-Factor re-awakened himself and arose from the ashes to prove critics wrong! This was no ordinary rapper. “My dream of rap will lead me to a gateway for bigger things in my life besides being a full time artist. My style is really different because I don’t follow the mainstream music. If you like Redman, Method Man, or Wu Tang, etc. or basically if you’re a hip hop head then you know what I’m talking about. If you feel it you feel it, if you don’t then fuck it. Laws of attraction will grant me my prize.”
