Bio
In 1996, Phillip was gifted a bass guitar. Before receiving the bass, he played the acoustic guitar like a bass.
Phil’s brothers formed a band called Six Sense. They played shows with Last Nerve and other bands in the Tri-Cities area. During that time, Phillip would play along with Rush. However it wasn’t long until he was added to the lineup. Shortly thereafter, Six Sense breaks up so Phil and his brothers form band: Rare Faction.
Playing their first show at Battle of the Bands at Kennewick High School, the brothers also played shows at Atomic City Records, & Red Lion Hotel. Practice sessions soon became the only outlet for the band as shows dwindled. One brother left the band initially but even as more shows came and went, Phillip’s brothers switched to acoustics.
After Rare Faction breaks up completely, Phil attends two years of bass lessons and follows with one year of teaching. Phil and his brother reunite during a homecoming assembly at Kennewick High School, which leads him into acoustic instruments. Though not of the acoustic flavor, Phillip joins band: Changing Seasons, playing parties, shows and other events. Around the same time, Phil meets Alex Saenz of The Hutchinson Effect, while joining another group called Folding In. Building a friendship with Alex leads Phillip to joining Nobodies From Nowhere and networking with affiliates.
During 2008-2009, Phil began creating techno soundtracks and collaborating with Pat Stiner.
As Phillip’s galactic appreciation for music grows he plays piano, keyboards, drums, guitar, and his trusty bass.
